"Is Everyone an Author?"
When you ask people what it takes to be an author many might say you need a degree, experience, and a publisher for your works, but I believe the title of author is far more encompassing and abstract. If you were to write a few lines into a blog post discussing your thoughts some might say this is not nearly enough to qualify you as an author yet turn around and claim the writings of Hemingway, where he shares his thoughts as well, that are published through a company are somehow above yours and make him a real author. While true his skill at writing is probably better than you can hope to achieve, in concept he writes the same things as any other person; that is, his thoughts. I believe if you have thoughts to share you are already an author, even if you lack the means to do so currently. Anyone's ideas and emotion are just as valid as another's, just as anyone's writing is legitimate . You don't need an expensive degree, a publisher, to be literate, or even beautiful writing to be an author. All that is necessary is the desire to reveal your thoughts to those around you in whatever way you can. It is in that way that everyone is an author.
